How to Train Your Dragon (2010)

Meski mungkin bagi sebagian orang teknologi 3D untuk film gak begitu menarik, tapi saya termasuk yang cukup antusias dengan hadirnya teknologi ini. Seingat saya, film 3D pertama yang hadir di Jakarta adalah ‘Ice Age 3′, tapi saya gak sempat nonton. Baru saat muncul film ‘Up’ produksi Pixar, saya sempatkan untuk nonton. Dan kesan waktu itu adalah kurang mengerti dialognya karena gak ada teks! haha…
Setelah itu ada ‘Avatar’ yang meski gambarnya menakjubkan tapi masalahnya juga sama, lalu ‘Alice in Wonderland’, dan akhirnya bioskop Indonesia mulai meluncurkan film 3D dengan teks berbahasa Indonesia sejak hadirnya ‘Clash of The Titans’. Kemudian ‘Cats and Dogs : Revenge of Kitty Galore’ ternyata kurang berkesan filmnya.

Hingga saat muncul How to Train Your Dragon, film 3D pertama produksi Dreamworks, saya jadi kurang minat nonton karena gak yakin dengan kualitasnya. Secara, saya sebelumnya lebih banyak dibuat kagum oleh film-film produksi Disney-Pixar daripada Dreamworks, dan Alice in Wonderland yang produksi Disney aja ternyata gak begitu bagus menurut saya. Lagipula, memangnya semua film 3D harus saya tonton semua apa? (mengingat sampai saat itu kayaknya saya gak pernah absen nonton film 3D di bioskop selain ‘Ice Age 3′ :p ).

Tapi my boyfriend (sekarang sudah jadi my husband), suatu hari ngajak jalan ke mall dan karena gak ada pilihan film lain yang bagus akhirnya kami pilih nonton ‘How to Train Your dragon 3D’. Di luar dugaan, ternyata saya dibuat tercengang oleh film ini. Gambarnya bagus, ceritanya kompleks dan menyentuh. Ada tentang perang, keluarga, persahabatan, komedi, roman, petualangan, dan dilema karena pengkhianatan (yang sebenarnya menuju kebaikan). Persis tema dari game-game bergenre RPG. Film seperti inilah yang saya tunggu-tunggu…

 

Shimmering Pearl So Far… (2)

Sampai dengan hari ini, Shimmering Pearl telah hadir di dunia maya selama 3,5 tahun. Dan ternyata saya masih belum mampu mengelola blog ini dengan lebih baik… terlihat dari sedikitnya posting selama 2 tahun terakhir.

Ya… mungkin pekerjaan cukup menyita waktu dan pikiran saya. Tapi lebih mungkin lagi memang semangat saya yang kurang untuk terus menghadirkan tulisan-tulisan baru di sini.

Dan sekarang, saya mulai berusaha untuk menghidupkan kembali semangat itu… menambah review dari berbagai hal dan catatan pengalaman sehari-hari.
